After a significant reprieve from recent thunderstorm activity over the state, it is looking to get more active again in Northern Arizona. The Arizona Weatherman is looking at an upper-level low that will develop over Northern Arizona Friday and Saturday and move out on Sunday. This system, coupled with mid-level positive vorticity advection and orographic lifting, will produce isolated to scattered thunderstorms over the Mogollon Rim region this weekend from 2 June to 4 June 2023. There will also be some lingering isolated convection going into Monday afternoon and isolated thunderstorms on Thursday as well.
