What You Need To Know When Visiting Ketchikan And The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show
When it comes to cruising Alaska, one popular stop is the city of Ketchikan. Visiting Ketchikan means an opportunity to see lots of beautiful Alaska sights and an opportunity to check out some lumberjacks. You will see lots of options for tours and one of the most famous and popular tours involves the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show features duos of lumberjacks representing the USA and Canada competing to show off their Lumberjack skills from chopping wood to log rolling and more. In this vlog, we take you through our walk to Ketchikan, give you a quick glimpse of the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show and give you some tips we wish we would've known ahead of time. 00:00 Introduction 00:36 Getting to Downtown Ketchikan 01:44 The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show 02:16 Downtown Ketchikan 02:27 Tips About Visiting Ketchikan 03:48 Recap of Ketchikan For cruise inquiries contact Gina firstname.lastname@example.org or collabs contact Gina email@example.com
Why You Should Visit Icy Strait, Alaska
When it comes to ports in Alaska, Icy Strait may be one of the less know smaller ports, but it's still so worth getting off the ship to walk around the town and really get some stunning views of their stone beach along with their beautiful starfish, and don't forget to sample some crabs too while you are there. There is an Icy Strait Museum you can check out for free along with plenty of souvenir shops and some optional tours. Some of the tours include the famous ziprider, kayaking, Tribal shows, and a trip into Hoonah, the small town outside of Icy Strait. Cruise Vlog- All You Can Eat Buffet on the Norwegian Bliss
NCL Bliss is one of our favorite ships. While we had not cruised on her for several years, we were happy to see the food onboard was still very good and they even added to the buffet and specialty dining. https://germiliona.cruiseone.com/travel/HomePage.html www.ncl.com
Cruise Vlog- Juneau Alaska Jeep Tour-NCL Bliss
So this visit to Juneau had plusses and minuses. We loved being able to explore on our own. But, the price we paid to do a Jeep rental was 1000% not worth it.

How to Pack for an Alaskan Cruise (and What Not to Pack!)
Packing for an Alaskan cruise is not an easy decision. The weather can vary immensely! For our trip, the temperature was in the 50s and 60s, and only one day did it rain. For clothing I recommend LAYERS! We wore pants every day, but our teenage boys did wear shorts a few times.
This city is so historic, but you didn't know it existed! Skagway, Alaska

Skagway, Alaska | Stop #2 On Our Alaska Cruise
What do a giant snow plow, spawning salmon, and brothels have in common? We saw them all on our D.I.Y. tour of Skagway! 🏔 Today we disembark Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess at the second port of call for our Alaska cruise – a charming and historic gold rush town. 🚞 Instead of an official cruise excursion, we decided to explore the town on our own and enjoy some of the local businesses we found along the way. In typical Stephen & Andie fashion, stops were made for coffee, ice cream, and to make friends with the local dogs.
Our Amazing Whale Watch And Hike In Juneau
We went whale watching and got surrounded by Humpback whales! 🐋 Today we disembark Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess at the first port of call for our Alaska cruise – Juneau! We set off on a photo safari hike along the Trail of Time in the Tongass National Forest, leading us to a lake with a breathtaking view of Mendenhall Glacier. A whale watching excursion was one of two things we were most excited for on this Alaska cruise (the other was cruising through Glacier Bay National Park, but more on that in a later vlog 😉). We capped off the day with dinner at Juneau’s famous Red Dog Saloon.
Touring Glacier Bay National Park By Cruise Ship
Our Alaska cruise spent half a day cruising through Glacier Bay National Park. Even though the weather was wet and misty, we were treated to epic views of the remaining glaciers, as well as ice bergs, waterfalls, and some cute little sea otters! Park rangers came aboard to narrate and give us tons of info as we cruised from glacier to glacier, as well as to provide literature and National Park stamps to passengers who wanted it. It was a crazy early morning - we were up before dawn to get breakfast and a good spot on our favorite deck – The Wake View Bar – which is shielded from a lot of the wind when the ship is moving. But it was TOTALLY worth it. The ship – Princess Cruises Majestic Princess – had hot cocoa stations set up to keep us warm as we gazed at the coastline in the damp cold. The cocoa was watery and bland, but the heat was welcome.
Ketchikan: Our Last Alaska Cruise Port of Call
We spent our last day in Alaska in the town of Ketchikan. This town gets an annual average rainfall of 140-160 inches, and I think we got half of it while we were there. 😂 This was the final port of call for our Alaska cruise on Princess Cruises Majestic Princess, and we got to go on a short hike in Tongass National Forest, saw a bald eagle up close at Alaska Raptor Center, check out Creek Street, and of course take breaks for some coffee and lunch.
Cruise Ship Food Tour on Princess Cruises' Majestic Princess to Alaska
Ever wondered what cruise ship food is like? We sailed on the Majestic Princess Alaska cruise and spent our first day at sea eating as much as we could, just to answer that question. 😉 Join us as we make our way around the ship trying the various food options that are available as part of the included dining. We also discuss the pros and cons of buying the specialty drinks package.
