The Water Wonderland in Odessa, Texas. Opened in 1980 in the heart of the West Texas oil fields. Located between Midland and Odessa on Hwy 80. This was a family favorite pass time to beat the West Texas brutal summers. But sadly it was not open long.

In Today's Kim's Adventure we head out to Soak City Knott's Berry Farm. Knott's Soak City is a seasonal water park owned and operated by Cedar Fair. It first opened in Buena Park on June 17th, 2000 under the name of Soak City U.S.A. On this day we got to rent a private cabana which was really useful for our kids to come back to and rest between rides. This was our first time going to a water park and I have to say that it was really fun. The scariest one I went on was the Aqua Launch which drops you from a chamber. Anyways we had a blast and the kids can't wait to go back!

The park opened in 1985 as Water Park USA. It was sold to Wave Management, its second owner, in 1989. Its third owner since it opened was Chrismari Inc. of San Antonio. The water park was shut down and sold to a automotive dealer. The park has already been demolished. I was lucky enough to visit the park right before they started demolition. Hey friends, welcome back to our family adventure channel. During our summer vacation to Disney World our family got visit our first Disney water park. Not only was it our first water park visit but it was at Typhoon Lagoon for their annual H2O Glow Nights. This is an after hours event where the water park stays open till midnight and you experience the park at night. Watch as we explore Typhoon Lagoon, go on the water attractions for the very first time, and have some tasty treats.

Knott's Soak City Water Park

As I was staying in Louisiana, I was driving around and came across this abandoned waterpark on side of the road. Of course I had to stop and make a video for my viewers. Originally, work began on the park roughly back in 2008, and was originally scheduled to open in the summer of 2010. It boasted a 900 foot long lazy river, over 10 slides, a kids area, adult pool, a wave pool, food vendors, and even a hotel was eventually planned to be placed in the area. The park sits on 100 acres, with the water park features spread out across 25 of those acres. The park was having issues with permitting and approval from various departments in the city and state. On our way back from the Rugged Mountain Twin's graduation Party we stopped to check out the weird & wacky. Chesterfield Missouri is home to Central Park, a beautiful 55 acre landscape with a lake, hiking trails and sculptures scattered about the grounds. The largest is what grabbed our attention and got us to stop by on our way back home. We give you... "The Awakening"!

In Today's Kim's Adventure, we had the opportunity to experience Knott's Soak City which is Knott's Berry Farm's water park. As soon as we entered we met up with our friends from Look Who's Blogging and acquired the Malibu Cabana. The cabana really made a difference because it gave us a private space for our group to just sit back and relax. When we weren't having fun on one of their exciting water rides, we could go back to the cabana and take a nap. It comes with 4 tubes, 4 lounge chairs, a table with 4 chairs, water, service, and a locker to put your valuables. We highly recommend getting a cabana if you're staying all day at Soak City, it's definitely a game changer.
