Hello Everyone! Welcome to Chuang Yen Monastery! It is a Buddhist temple complex situated on 225 acres in Kent, Putnam County, New York - about 1 hour 30 min drive from Manhattan. The temple is home to the largest indoor statue of a Buddha in the Western Hemisphere. The name "Chuang Yen" means "Majestically Adorned". This Monastery has been closed during pandemic and just reopened for visitors. Now you can come and visit this place any day you want from 10am to 3pm. New York State Governor Kathy Hochul recently revealed the location of the new pop-up vaccination site in Plattsburgh, New York, which is now open from ten in the morning until seven in the evening at the Clinton Community College Gymnasium for first, second, and booster dose appointments.
