Treasure Island Is Our #8 Beach In The Greater Tampa Bay Area
Treasure Island is known for it's white sand beaches, calm waters and having a variety of hotels, restaurants and bars along the beachfront. Treasure Island tends to be more family friendly when compared to more touristy Tampa area beach towns such as Clearwater Beach. It's wide beach allows for much more room for visitors to spread out and relax. In this video we share some of the reasons why Treasure Island on the gulf coast of Florida may be a great beach destination for you. In this series we visit our Top 10 Beaches in the greater Tampa Bay Area along the gulf coast of Florida to help you decide which beach is best for you. Be sure to follow our channel so you won't miss future episodes. If you missed the first two episodes, you can find them on our profile page. Are you already familiar with the area and have a favorite beach? Let us know what it is in the comments! -- Music Credit: Apollo - Patrick Patrikios Mountain - Text Me Records Bobby Renz
Treasure Island after Hurricane Ian (driving on the island and walking on the beach in Florida)
This footage was taken September 29, 2022 after the evacuation orders in place for Hurricane Ian were lifted in St. Petersburg and the surrounding barrier islands in Pinellas County. We have already posted footage from downtown St. Pete and Madeira Beach. We will be posting footage from conditions on St. Pete Beach and Pass-A-Grille on our page. Be sure to follow our NB channel if you are interested in seeing more of the area following the storm. As you can see from the video the St. Pete area was extremely lucky. Unfortunately, areas south of us were devastated by Ian. San Francisco’s Treasure Island beckons foodies, connoisseurs across the bay
San Francisco’s Treasure Island may be the Bay Area’s most underappreciated attractions. The island was created in 1936 for the 1936-37 Golden Gate International Exposition. After the fair closed, there were plans to resurrect it for a new “Fun in Forty” fair but those plans were scrapped, along with plans to turn it into an airport when the US entered into World War II and it was taken over by the Navy.

San Francisco Bay Perch Fishing (Treasure Island)
San Francisco Bay Sea Perch Fishing! I am currently on leave on the west coast and was able to get out after some perch in the bay. The first 2 hours we failed to find any fish, but after searching for a while we were able to get on some really nice fish. Bait of choice was shrimp on hi low rigs. Drifting the rocks was the only way to do it due to the tide ripping so hard.
