These 3 hidden Denver speakeasies will elevate your night
Even though we're far from prohibition times, where people worked to hide their alcohol consumption, speakeasies today provide a unique and fun atmosphere worth exploring. According to history.com, "Although the exact origins of the term are unknown, it might have arisen because prospective patrons had to whisper—or “speak easy”—through a small opening in a door to enter the illegal establishments, providing the name of the person who had sent them."
A family-fun experience at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park
Growing up visiting Elitch's Gardens was always a big summer treat. Now that my son is 5 year old, I couldn't wait for him to experience one of my favorite spots as a kid. On the way to the park, he talked endlessly about the Ferris Wheel (which was also enjoyed) but with a little nudge he bucked up for the Blazin’ Buckaroo roller coaster. The other major highlight for him: Shipwreck Falls where Everett loved both riding and standing in the soak zone for a monster wave.
(VIDEO) The Denver Trolley Is Back After 3 Years
The Denver Trolley reopened today after a 3-year hiatus. This year, they're only running from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, but check denvertrolley.org for the latest hours. The Denver Trolley goes along the South Platte River and passes Mile High Stadium, Meow Wolf, Elitch Gardens, the Aquarium, and Children's Museum. The volunteers help make the ride fun and share some fun facts about the city and the areas you'll pass on the tour.

Denver Restaurant Review: Welton Room
The Welton Room is one of my favorite places for date night or to go with a group of friends. It really is a great spot for so many occasions. This is one of the most unique and entertaining bars in Denver! I really appreciate their customer service and table-side cocktails that bring such a unique and interactive experience. I also really enjoyed their small but mighty menu and loved the charcuterie board and bacon wrapped dates. This is a RESERVATIONS ONLY bar and you have to text 720-447-9502 to secure a spot. You need to check this place out for yourself! Please like, share, and comment with where you'd like to see me review next! I'm also open to doing food challenges.
(VIDEO) Review of The Dr. Seuss Experience in Denver | Is It Worth the Price?
Thinking of checking out The Dr. Seuss Experience in Denver? In this video, I help you decide if this very expensive, immersive experience would be a good fit for you and your family. I'll show you The Cat in the Hat and all of the different rooms that are part of the experience, including The Lorax, Wocket in my Pocket, and more. I'll also let you know what's good about the experience and what seemed like it was missing out of this pop-up event in Centennial, next to IKEA. Because this experience is so expensive (about $120 for a family of 3), I wanted to make this video to help families decide if the one hour or so that you'll spend in the world of Seuss would be worth your money.
Celebrating Christmas: Luminova at Denver's Elitch Gardens
Come along as we check out Luminova at Denver's Elitch Gardens. Here, bigger is better with a crown jewel 65-foot-tall Christmas tree. It even dwarfs the 25-foot-tall "unmeltable" snowman and 16-foot-tall ornaments and presents surrounding it. Here you can take a stroll through the 200-foot-long Candy Cane Tunnel, visit Santa, who is on-site, and his helpers! Plus, since the event is hosted by Elitch Gardens, visitors can also enjoy their favorite rides like the Big Wheel, Dragon Wing, Blazin Buckaroo, and Meow Wolf's Kaleidoscape.
