Opinion: The arts can’t afford to live here
”Why do all the good musicians leave Tallahassee?“ Yes, that age old question. Let’s go ahead and acknowledge that I will undoubtedly take some heat from a lot people for voicing my opinions in this article. Bar and restaurant owners, you’ll probably hate me the most. Please know that it’s not personal and coming from a very specific view. Even some local musicians will likely not appreciate everything I have decided to publicly write. However, I will tell you that my decision to publish this was after several months of walking into the same frustrating situation and conversation many times a day. My partner, (a well established local musician whom also works as an intelligence analyst for a public agency,) finally said to me, “I wish you’d write about this and communicate it with the public.” So, here we go.

Another alligator attack was reported on June 17 - a 9-foot gator snatched a 40-pound Labrador-retriever cross-breed named Toby. The dog and its owner were playing catch in a Tallahassee park near some shallow water.

Torreya State Park, Bristol Florida, Florida State Park
Bristol is located about 45 minutes west of Tallahassee. It's a beautiful state park with a historic 1840's home on it. You can tour the home but when we were there back in April of 2021 the tour was closed. But we see that they have re-opened the tour.
