Go somewhere rural with little light, and you’ll be able to catch both the Supermoon known as the Sturgeon moon and the Perseid meteor showers.

Unfortunately, the bright full moon will make the Perseid meteor shower (peaking on the same night) difficult to spot. (CHICAGO) It's the last supermoon of 2022, and if you miss this one, the next one won't be until almost a year from now.

This year's most extensive and brightest supermoon, the Buck moon, will take place on July 13. When the July supermoon is known as Buck Moon, male deer, also known as bucks, will have fully developed antlers, and each year's regrowth will be even more impressive than the last. Another name given to the July supermoon by The Farmer's Almanac is the Feather Moulting Moon (Cree) or the Salmon Moon (Tlingit), which refers to the time of year when the local fish return to be harvested. According to Space.com, this supermoon will be at its closest point to Earth around 5 a.m. EDT in 2022. Strawberry Moon is just 200km closer to Earth than the last Strawberry Moon, and it will be fully risen a little over 9 hours and 38 minutes later.

Nearly as awe-inspiring as the Blood Moon, the Strawberry Moon is named after the wild strawberries that began to ripen during early summer; this Full Moon is also referred to as Rose Moon, Hot Moon, and Mead Moon. Super Full Moons appear up to 7% larger than the average full moon. They also appear 30% brighter than a 'micromoon.' Unlike May's disappointing meteor shower, the visible Moon Illusion and Apparent Retrograde make strawberry moons even more interesting. Both will accompany this year's Super Strawberry Full Moon.
