Running out of ideas of fun things to do with the kids before school starts up again? In Lancaster, there are options, plenty of it. Today, I'm highlighting three fun things to do, all of which I highly recommend.

While recently visiting Edinburgh in Scotland a lovely surprise awaited. What makes Edinburgh unique this summer is the amazing giraffe statues you can find throughout the city. Each giraffe statue is uniquely painted the lovely colors brighten your day.

Sunflower season is finally upon us. Every summer, between late July and August, sunflower fields light up in bright yellow hues as buds begin to bloom and there's no better way to take in all the beauty than visiting a sunflower farm.

Kayaking on Convict lake is incredible as you can enjoy the calm and peaceful aspects of quiet and serene lake surroundings, as well as the outstanding views of Laurel Mountain that hugs the lake. Summer fun adventure in Florida is not hard to find. The choice of outdoor activities here is endless. There is definitely more to this beautiful state than just amusement parks and beautiful beaches. Florida golf is one of the biggest industries in the state. According to the Tampa Bay Times, 167,000 people play golf, generating about 13.8 billion for the economic engine here in Florida. Summer can be the best time to spend outdoors. The weather is pleasant. Children don’t have to worry about going to school, so they are able to play outside all day long. Water sports are also popular during the summer. Many children enjoy playing with sprinklers and in the pool.

They are organically grown in our small urban backyard edible garden. I harvested a bunch of grapes, some nectarines, figs, pear, different varieties of tomatoes in different sizes and shapes and some beautiful flowers. Gardening is fun rewarding in many ways!
