As we all know, residents from all around the country continue to suffer from the effects of high inflation. For example, gas and food prices are still rising compared to the previous year. So, due to the cost of living crisis, millions of Americans receive a $1500 stimulus check.

Governor Roy Cooper proposed last month how North Carolina should spend the $6.2 billion surplus. Governor Cooper said the state needs to address areas such as building construction, education inequities, affordable housing, and worker retention.
Stimulus check is back: $200 could hit every North Carolina licensed driver.

During this time the North Carolina General Assembly was not discussing offering relief to North Carolina drivers. Will rising gas prices have an impact on stimulus payments?
There have been rumors about a fourth stimulus check for months now but, no action has been taken. Even with this petition from Change.org that reached a record 3 million signatures in favor of giving Americans $2,000/month in stimulus money, no fourth stimulus is in view.
Oregon lawmakers approve $600 payments for low-income residents

Oregon state representative Andrea Valderrama sponsored a new bill that aims to provide $600 payments to nearly 250,000 low-income residents living in the state of Oregon. On Friday, the Oregon legislature approved the bill that could allow for a one-time payment of $600 for low-income residents who were working when the global health crisis started back in early 2020.
