# Spray foam insulation
Spray Foam and Cutting the Window Openings Out in Our Bus Conversion is What is on the Agenda Next!
In a previous video we had put a single layer of spray foam on the walls and ceiling. We decided that a second pass of spray foam, bringing our R value up to 14 would be ideal. So, Shane and Ashton took on the job this very hot day in Orlando. Next, we cut out our window openings. Shane, thought it would be best to cut out the window openings prior to the custom paint. He doesn’t want to take any chances in messing up the paint after it’s applied. The whole family is excited as the day comes nearer when we will paint our bus Conversion.
Insulating our Bus Conversion with Closed Cell Spray Foam Was Easier Than I Thought it Would be!
Good insulation is a very important part of our bus conversion project as we plan on being in cold climates from time to time and need to bus to be able to withstand harsh, cold weather. We decided to go with Tiger Foam closed cell spray foam insulation. Closed cell foam is made of uniform cells that maintain their own shape. Because the cells are closed and have their own cell walls, they are more rigid and trap a large amount of air. ► FOLLOW us on INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/thebuslifeshow ► FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/goodnewsbus
