In talking to my friends that have children, it sounds like the parents are always running to their children's activities. But as their children "leave the nest", so many seem to feel lost with nothing to do. Let's think about those people and even those with children that are looking for some activities for adults. A career fair is being held Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Clay County Fairgrounds and high school seniors are encouraged to attend, the school district said. Priority is given to 12th-grade students who will have the opportunity to enroll in post-secondary education programs, enlist in the military or become employed by over 100 businesses and community partners.

Biden signed a $1.7 trillion funding bill last month. One rule in it will have a positive effect on the retirement funds of second-generation Americans. American colleges and universities saw a 1.1% drop in 2021 to 2022 enrollment. That is a decline of 1.1 million undergraduates. But. Over 15 million parents save at least $140 per month in a 529 plan for their child from birth. In December 2022, records say there were 15.81 million active accounts with around $28,953.

Are you a senior who gets supplemental security income? A payment boost received approval for December. It ranges between $73 to $140, depending on if it is a federal or state payment.
