Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
If you watched my first video of Sasha's first ride, you saw how scared she was. Now she loves it as you can see. This is my all time favorite wooden roller coaster! There's something about the Giant dipper that's hard to describe. The sound, feel, and the smell captures what a roller coaster is all about. It's amazing and I try to ride it a least once a year. When I'm at the Boardwalk my minimum is two rides.
Logger's Revenge at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
This is a real fun log ride that takes you up above the Boardwalk for amazing views. Enjoy a panoramic ocean view from high above the park as you float around a watery track. Keep your eyes open for the final drop, and expect to get wet! What does an independently owned, traditional amusement park do when a giant theme park enters its marketing area? Many simply went out of business in the 1960s and 1970s. Not so for the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. In 1976, Marriott's Great America opened in Santa Clara, CA, just 40-miles north of the Boardwalk. Revenues flattened that year at the Santa Cruz beachfront, a result of that new park's unique appeal to Northern California amusement park-goers. Boardwalk management knew the right new ride would help bolster revenues. That ride would need to enhance the Boardwalk's family-friendly appeal, too. The Logger's Revenge was open to the public on April 1, 1977.

Ghost Blasters dark ride at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Casino Arcade
It's always a blast coming into the arcade! They are always changing the games out, and updating them with the latest ones. I was a little sad however to see the old school games are gone. In the past they had games from the 20s, 30s, & 40s mixed in. Still a great arcade to enjoy when at the boardwalk.
111 year old Looff carousel at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
This is a timeless classic carousel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. It's one of the few remaining carousels that has a ring toss. On the outside lane, you grab a metal ring and try to throw it in the clowns mouth. If you are successful a buzzer will ring. So much fun!!
