Mother raccoon tries to reach babies in the attic, gets stuck in the roof
A concerned homeowner was shocked when they noticed a raccoon coming out of their roof. She wasn't just walking on it. Instead, the mother raccoon had done her best to chew through it and reach her babies on the other side. The raccoon got stuck in the middle and couldn't move either way despite her efforts.

Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
If you watched my first video of Sasha's first ride, you saw how scared she was. Now she loves it as you can see. This is my all time favorite wooden roller coaster! There's something about the Giant dipper that's hard to describe. The sound, feel, and the smell captures what a roller coaster is all about. It's amazing and I try to ride it a least once a year. When I'm at the Boardwalk my minimum is two rides.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Sky Glider
What a view, what a view you get from the Sky Glider Ride at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Amusement park. I'm little freaked out by the height of it, but it's still fun.
Logger's Revenge at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
This is a real fun log ride that takes you up above the Boardwalk for amazing views. Enjoy a panoramic ocean view from high above the park as you float around a watery track. Keep your eyes open for the final drop, and expect to get wet! What does an independently owned, traditional amusement park do when a giant theme park enters its marketing area? Many simply went out of business in the 1960s and 1970s. Not so for the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. In 1976, Marriott's Great America opened in Santa Clara, CA, just 40-miles north of the Boardwalk. Revenues flattened that year at the Santa Cruz beachfront, a result of that new park's unique appeal to Northern California amusement park-goers. Boardwalk management knew the right new ride would help bolster revenues. That ride would need to enhance the Boardwalk's family-friendly appeal, too. The Logger's Revenge was open to the public on April 1, 1977.
Santa Cruz, Giant Dipper World Famous Roller Coaster
I made this video of my Daughter's first ride on the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. I love her fun/fear look all in one. She's way more brave then me, I didn't ride my first coaster until I was 17. She is 9 in this video. The Boardwalk’s Most Popular Ride - The Giant Dipper The Giant Dipper roller coaster, complete with its landmark red and white structure, spectacular view of the Monterey Bay, and speedy successive dips and fan curves, keeps new and old generations coming back for more. Ghost Blasters dark ride at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
This is a classic dark ride that you try to score points shooting ghosts. It's a lot of fun, and I would recommend it if you go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Something about the music they play reminds me of Disneyland. Ghost Blasters Test your aim and compete against friends as you blast pesky ghouls on this fun trip under the Boardwalk.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, famous Ferris Wheel is gone
What a view, what a view from this Ferris Wheel at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. I'm so glad I rode it before they took it down in 2018 :( SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- The seats have been off all winter and the wheel will be removed next week -- the 60-year-old iconic Ferris Wheel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is being retired. In a Facebook post, the Boardwalk announced that its last day of operation was Fall of 2018. The Ferris Wheel was down during the winter for routine maintenance. It was during that time the park decided not to bring it back. Boardwalk History The family-operated Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has been entertaining locals and visitors since 1907. The oldest amusement park in California and one of the last seaside amusement parks on the west coast of the United States, the Boardwalk remains a favorite destination for Northern California families.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Casino Arcade
It's always a blast coming into the arcade! They are always changing the games out, and updating them with the latest ones. I was a little sad however to see the old school games are gone. In the past they had games from the 20s, 30s, & 40s mixed in. Still a great arcade to enjoy when at the boardwalk.
How to Find the Hidden Old Davenport Pier Swing
Like Shark Fin Cove, we also stumbled upon Old Davenport Pier and its hidden swing in Davenport by chance. On our road trip through Northern California, we ran into some locals who told us to check out this place. Old Davenport Pier is a unique spot consisting of old concrete pier foundation arches stretching out into the water. With the pier’s deck surface having been gone for years, all you have left are the set concrete pylons standing eerily against the never-ending waves. This is where you’ll also find a swing hanging on the concrete pylons, above the crashing waves.
Shark Fin Cove, a Beautiful Hidden Beach in Northern California
We stumbled upon Shark Fin Cove by chance during our road trip along the California coastline. It was meant to be a quick stop for us to stretch our legs. However, we couldn’t get enough of this beautiful place. Shark Fin Cove is a gorgeous secluded beach that is named after a massive rock that resembles a shark fin out of the water. It’s easily one of the most beautiful beaches that we have come across in Northern California. Shark Fin Cove also goes by other names such as Shark’s Tooth Cove, Davenport Cove, and Jah Beach. This place is easy to get to but you have to know where to look.
