My wife and I tried out the restaurant Lowood in Downtown Tulsa for a date night last week. It’s a New American restaurant that serves food prepared with fresh local ingredients from right here in northeastern Oklahoma. They have pasta and wood fire dishes available. We sat In the Chefs Counter area of the restaurant. It was so fun, it provided views of the full kitchen. We loved watching as they prepared meals in front of us. I had the Fire Roasted Duck Breast & Celery it came with frisee, crispy garlic, basil, mustard vinaigrette. I loved it! It was so flavorful. my wife had the Reginette & Arugula Pesto it came with applewood smoked bacon, farm egg yolk, parmigiano reggiano. It was good but did have quite a bit of a tangy flavor. We also enjoyed some wine. They have an excellent wine selection. We ended up doing the Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownie with Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. It was a vegan dessert and I was surprised how much I liked it.

We have now visited Cheri Ann’s Trattoria many times now and we absolutely love eating at this local family owned and operated Italian restaurant in Broken Arrow. They serve up a great variety of Italian food and have daily specials. My wife and both of my boys favorite is the Farfalle with white wine cream sauce. I love it all. My last visit, I had the Ravioli both meat and cheese ravioli with the pink sauce. Everything we have tried here has been great. I will say it is a fairly small restaurant so make reservations or arrive early. It stays busy because it’s so good. You can find them on Main Street in Broken Arrow’s Rose District.
