I recently had the opportunity to check out a steakhouse in the Saint Charles area that has been around for over 30-plus years. The reviews online for the steakhouse seemed mostly positive. I had seen this restaurant reviewed on the now-defunct show Chicago’s Best many years ago and wanted to check it out for myself.

In this episode, Tommy makes my dreams come true by taking me on a four hour train ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Everything about this day was perfect. From the train, to our conductor, to the beautiful towns of McCaysville and Copperhill. For lunch we stopped by Katz New York Deli for a Reuben and a pastrami sandwich.

Legend Chicken specializes in Nashville style hot chicken with multiple locations across Southern California. They make their meals fresh to order with high quality, handmade ingredients. The first impression inside is that this is an American Chicken restaurant, when in fact they are Korean. There are a lot of flavors that are based on popular Korean dishes such as the Jjamppong Chicken and Bulingle Chicken. They have also come up with their own original recipes, and our favorite is the Snowflake Cheese Chicken. The Location we typically visit is the one in Hawaiian Gardens, and we're never disappointed by the quality. Check them out if you are in the area.

You're missing out if you haven't tried out Atlanta's hottest and newest mozzarella bar, Bastone! The restaurant certainly lives up to the hype! From the interior design to the quality of their food, everything was beautiful and delicious. The bright interior complemented by earthy tones and greenery makes the experience even more lovely. They're the only restaurant in Georgia that does hand-pulled mozzarella, and if you sit at the bar, you can watch the chefs work their magic with the cheese! Besides their signature mozzarella tasting, the hand-made pastas are another highlight of the night. Dishes featured: 1. focaccia 2. fatt' a mano 3. prosciutto di parma 32 months 4. angelo and franco 5. lamb tartare 6. orecchiette 7. casoncelli All the dishes were beautifully crafted and the tastes of them definitely exceeded my expectations. We had such a wonderful experience and we can't wait to be back throughout the summer for some wine and cheese on the patio!

We stumbled upon Gyu-Kaku while we were waiting to go to the airport in Austin to fly back home. We had already been eating all day but needed to kill time so we did what we do best - EAT MORE FOOD! Eat, drink, and be merry! I've never had Japanese BBQ before so I'm glad we tried it. We got a multi-course meal with different kinds of meat. I always get takoyaki whenever I see it on the menu and theirs was pretty good. I LOVED the broccoli and cheddar that you throw on the grill and the meats were pretty good. I wish they had better and more creative drinks but when in doubt, Jameson comes in pretty clutch! Good vibes, and it's fun to cook your own meals on the tabletop fire. They do have a couple of locations in Denver as well, which I wasn't aware of until we went. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5. I prefer Korean BBQ but I'd go again.
