New Homes Sales Fell 16.6%, and Were Down 19.8% in the South and 13.8% in the West
In a major signal that the US economy could be headed to a major recession, the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) agency reported on May 24 that new single-family sales fell 16.6% in April on a seasonally adjusted annual rate.

(DENVER, Colo.) Applications are open now through April 30, 2023, for the Denver Property Tax Relief Program. The program offers qualifying Denver renters and homeowners a partial refund of paid property taxes or the equivalent in rent, according to the city. The average refund is $1,000.
San Diego median rent soars to $3,050 a month for two-bedroom apartments
Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in San Diego skyrocketed 31.3% over the last year. According to data from rental platform Zumper, the median San Diego rent for a one-bedroom unit is now $2,390 a month. Median rent on a two-bedroom has gone up 5.2% in the last month alone, coming in at $3,050 per month.
