Michigan Family Sells Everything to Visit All 50 States
We are a Michigan family that has packed our bags and hit the road for full-time RV travel. We will be traveling to all 50 states and bringing you with us every step of the way. We will share tips, tricks, and inspiration for adventuring with young children. Our mission is to help you travel more and worry less.
Our First Time Boondocking (at a blueberry farm) 🫐
When we first started living in an RV full-time a lot of people suggested boondocking to save money. Sounded like a great plan, until we realized we weren't sure how to actually use our generator 😳 watch as we go from blissfully picking blueberries to stressing real quick. It's all part of the learning process right?

Why We Screwed Up | RV Park Mistake (Austin, TX) | South Congress Ave |Boots Bars & Broken RV Dreams
We check out one of the most popular areas in Austin, South Congress Ave. Plus, did we make an RV Park mistake? When we first got to Austin we chose Oak Forest RV Park due to it’s affordability. However, today we found Pecan Grove RV Park while we were out exploring. It’s in the middle of the coolest part in Austin. We ask ourselves the question, did we make an RV Park mistake? We advise making reservations months in advance if you want to stay at Pecan Grove RV park. One thing there is no shortage of in Austin is Food Trucks. We found a really cool spot called Barton Springs Picnic, which typically has 8 different Food Truck options. Our next stop is on all of the “must visit” lists in Austin. Allens Boots is Quintessential Texas! Guero’s Taco Bar always has live music and a really awesome out garden/patio to enjoy. SoCo Cafe was our last stop after a long day of exploring. Get the fried Brie if you stop in. It’s delicious!
Austin Outdoor Parks and Trails | Barton Creek Greenbelt, Barton Springs, Zilker Park
We start to explore all the outdoor adventures Austin, TX has to offer! First stop is Barton Creek Greenbelt which at first looks to be an easy hike, but looks can sometimes be deceiving. We got lost. When you think of a Natural Spring, you don’t expect the type of setup they have at Barton Springs Pool. Around 800,000 people visit the natural spring every year. Puppy adventure time! We bring the dogs out to Latta Branch Greenway for a hike. It was a perfect plan B. We only went to take some pictures but were pleasantly surprised to see so many people out and about enjoying themselves at Zilker Park. Hang with the dogs, have a catch, listen to some music, ride the bike trial or do some kayaking. Zilker Park has it all. Our last stop was not far from our RV Park. Walter E. Long Lake is a beautiful place to catch a sunset!
RV Texas (San Antonio) | Riverwalk & The Alamo
We make a trip in our RV to San Antonio for Halloween. But first we make a stop in the Hill Country of Texas. The Blue Bonnet Cafe is nationally recognized for its pies! You know what pairs well with rosé? Disc golf! We go to Flat Creek Winery for Wine Tasting and Disc Golf. Easily one of the most unexpected and entertaining combinations. Time to head to San Antonio for some Halloween fun. We go to the 13th Floor Haunted House. It was so much fun! The Riverwalk is one of the most iconic parts of San Antonio. The Go Rio boat tours are the best way to learn the history of the area! Remember the Alamo! No San Antonio trip is complete without a visit to this iconic historic site. Right down the street, the San Fernando Cathedral offers a free light show on the side of the building called The Saga. It shows a visual history of San Antonio and Texas. We were blown away!

We Already Broke Our RV! | RV Renovations | RV Newbie Fix Ups and Mess Ups
We are showing you some small tweaks and fixes we have complete on our RV to make it our own. Unfortunately, not all has gone according to plan. We accidentally drilled through the RV wall while trying to install a TV mount! Thankfully we have run into minimal issues since moving in a few months ago, but it is already becoming clear that our spirit of DIY-ness and Victoria’s affinity for power tools will come in handy on our travels. They said our King-sized memory foam mattress wouldn’t fit. We proved them otherwise. Clothing was one of the most difficult categories for us to downsize in. We have the closet space, but we make a couple of modifications to utilize it better. Our first homeowners problem - the water heater is leaking! Before we spend money calling a repair man, Victoria sees what she can rig up herself with supplies from Home Depot.

Preparing For A Travel Day In An RV
If travel days we’re this easy to prepare for! There’s a lot that goes into preparing the inside of your rig for a travel day, but here are the basics: move everything off of the countertops and put it all in a safe place, vacuum the floors and underneath the slides to prevent any damage to your flooring or your slides, and if you think it'll move during travel, strap it down! Then you bring in the slides and awnings, hitch up, and you're off! Safe travels! Follow along with our family and our full-time RV adventures!
Auto Insurance for Van Conversions
Finding out how to properly insure your van is CRITICAL! You have put alot of time and money into your conversion so you want to make sure the whole thing is covered!. When we were looking to insure our van we heard a lot of conflicting information when it comes to getting insurance for converted vans. The world of vehicle insurance can be confusing, so in this post we’re going to share how we went about getting insurance on our van. This doesn’t make us experts in the field but hopefully it can help you out when you need to get insurance on your van.
Full Time RV in Texas | Exploring Austin
We are starting to settle in and explore our first city of Austin, TX a little more. We will be calling this place home for the next couple of months, and we want to see everything it has to offer! Check out our cute RV park we are staying at. Oak Forest RV Resort has a lot to offer, and is also Austin's only tiny home community! Mt. Bonnell is the highest point in Austin. It is quite a climb, but it is worth the view. If you visit the Congress Avenue Bridge at sunset, you might catch a glimpse of North America's largest bat colony. Get there early and bring a chair - they have quite a following! We accidentally walked into enemy territory on our hunt for a place to watch the Carolina Panthers game. It was all in good fun though, and we met some nice KC Chiefs fans at The Tavern and ate some good grub.
