We are at the Sunscape all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Here's what we thought of our experience here and what the good and the bad aspects of all-inclusive resorts are.

2 hours out of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in the mountains of Jalisco you will find San Sebastian. A historic and small town with rich culture, food, and adventure. It's a perfect day trip if you're staying nearby in ultra-popular Puerto Vallarta.

Located in the mountains outside of Puerto Vallarta and in the state of Jalisco, Mascota is a magical little town. Established a Pueblo Magico in 2015 it offers great traditional food along with other diverse cuisines, a calm small-town feel, and many attractions to visit in the area. Some of them include the Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores Parish church, Corrinchis dam, Juanacatlán Lake, El Pedregal Museum, and the Templo de la Preciosa Sangre (Unfinished Temple of the Precious Blood).

We are in the Pueblo Magico of Mascota as we check out some of the best food in town, adventure to an ancient volcano crater at Laguna de Juanacatlan, and ride ATVs through the center of the town in search of delicious local ice cream.

We take you on an adventure through a hidden but beautiful small town, 2 hours from Puerto Vallarta. Mascota is a must-stop location if you're staying in Puerto Vallarta. Escape the tourists and see more of the classical and traditional side of Mexico.

This was probably my FAVORITE Carnival Excursion we did! If you are thinking about booking the Sea Safari excursion while in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend it, but don't take my word for it, check out this video and see how fun it is for yourself! The Sea Safari was an amazing way to see parts of Puerto Vallarta you couldn't possibly see on your own, such as the secluded town of Quixtmo, a hidden waterfall, and a secluded beach that will take your breath away. This Sea Safari Carnival excursion costs $119 per adult, and $99 per child (under 12 years old). I wouldn't recommend this excursion if you have young children or if you have physical limitations as it can be physically demanding at times, such as the horseback riding bit and also the getting on and off of boats in the water and also in the surf as these stops don't have docks for the speedboat to dock in.
