In this video we are going to show you why you should home compost. Along with how easy it is to compost.
CU’s Dining Hall's Vertical Farming for a Cleaner Future and Campus
The University of Colorado, Boulder (CU) has invested in giving back to the Earth by developing vertical farming in their William's Village dining hall. Vertical farming is when crops are grown on top of each other. Growing vertically allows for conservation in space and results in a higher crop yield per square foot. Vertical farms are usually grown indoors in controlled environments. This method of growing has an impact on “food miles.” Which in turn reduces the need for the harvesting, cleaning, packaging, and transportation from another farm. Given the CU farm virtually zero food miles and having a positive effect on the environment.
