Moussaka Recipe
This is a great fall recipe for my version of a non-traditional Moussaka recipe. First thinly slice 5-6 large butter potatoes. Place them in a large bowl with cold water. In a large sauce pan, add oil and sauté grated carrots, diced onions, and diced zucchini. Cook until softened then add 1 lb ground beef. Stir then add 1 tbsp of Vegeta seasoning, 1 tbsp oregano, 2 tsps paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together again and add in grated garlic and tomato sauce or passata. Cook mixture for 2 minutes then remove from heat. In a 9x13 baking dish, layer potatoes, then ground beef mixture( 2-3 layers). Over the top, pour in 3/4 cup of heavy cream OR 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/4 cup water. Cover with foil and bake in the oven at 430°F for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Enjoy 😊

American fries
These potatoes are crunchy on the outside, seasoned just right, and they're so soft and tender on the inside. For my American fries, I use a touch of cayenne, smoked paprika, onion and garlic powder, seasoning salt, with freshly ground black pepper to give the fries an extra boost of flavor. These fries can be served with breakfast, lunch, and supper, alongside eggs and bacon, a bowl of home-cooked beans and cornbread, steaks, chops, and even burgers. They go great with almost everything. Sometimes, I even want a plate of them, served with a dipping sauce. There's just no wrong way to eat American fries!
