# Pork ribs
Save money on Pork Ribs, this is how!
Spare ribs are much cheaper than any other cut of pork ribs in your grocery store. 3 easy steps to cut the pork ribs into St. Louis ribs and save a bunch of money. The under side of the spare ribs is a flap of meat called the skirt, cut that off and save it for extra meat in whatever dish you want. Cut the top chunk out out along with an additional cut along the top of the bones. The meat you cut away for the St. Louis cut ribs is all delicious pork that should be used in other meals such as pork tacos and even pet food. I spent less on this rack of spare ribs than already cut up St. Louis style ribs basically saving $7 dollars to have more meat and still have the same end product.
Flamingo Bbq Ribs
Flamingo Bbq Ribs By Cajun Rnewbbq Full disclosure, I was sent this Bottle to try out along with several others of their lineup. This one has a kc flavor with the molasses. Now on these ribs I scored the back membrane, didn't use a binder and used Uncle Steve's Competition Pig Shake. Put it on the smoker at 250 degreese. Let that go for 2 hours. Every hour I poured apple juice on the ribs to moisten them. At 2 hours I pulled the ribs an wrapped them in foil with butter, brown sugar and apple juice on both sides of the ribs. Put the ribs back on the smoker for 90 minutes. At that I unwrapped them, take them out the foil and put on the sauce. Put the ribs back on the smoker for 30 minutes. After that the Ribs are done.

Slow baked barbecue pork ribs
To ensure that the pork ribs cook tenderly, I slowly bake them at a low temperature inside an aluminum foil pack. But not before I lay the pork ribs out on a bed of onions, season them, add barbecue sauce, then finish layering sliced onion rings on top. I use one entire (large) onion for this recipe. As the onion rings cook, they not only add additional flavor to the pork ribs, they also tenderize them. (Onions break down protein when they're fully in contact with meat.) Once the pork ribs are done, you can take the onions off the ribs, or serve them just as they are.
