New England Patriots' Chances to Make the NFL Playoffs
The New England Patriots have had an up-and-down season. The defense is playing great, with playmakers all over the field. The offense, on the other hand, lacks those playmakers, and poor playcalling doesn't help either. However, the Patriots' playoff chances still remain possible despite the struggles. Last Sunday the Jets headed into their rest week with a win over the Buffalo Bills. The Bills currently holds the second spot in the AFC East. If the Jets had won this match they would have ascended to the top of their division. After this defeat, the NY Jets has 14 consecutive losses to the NE Patriots. Keeping up with the 617: Reality check
(Graphic by Kayla Drazan) In a year where the NFL is as unpredictable as the New England weather forecast, the New England Patriots continue to prove to this fanbase how a mediocre offense can’t win the “big games.” Sure, the Patriots currently occupy the final playoff spot heading into Week 11, which should shock many NFL pundits; they currently are ranked No. 26 in total yards per game, a statistic that should worry many fans. Although Matt Judon is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate and this defense continues to dominate the gridiron, there remains multiple questions on the offensive side of the ball, particularly with quarterback play.
Packers vs Patriots | Week 4 (2022) Reaction
Bailey Zappe nearly defeated Aaron Rodgers in his first NFL appearance but came up short in overtime. Romeo Doubs is looking extremely bright for the Packers and Rodgers seems to be doing a solid job in spreading the ball around to his young receivers.
Opinion: Many People Who Claim They Are "Patriots" Actually Hate America
I’m starting to mistrust the word “patriot.”. Calling yourself a “patriot” does not make you a patriot. I think it’s odd that many of the people who claim to be “patriots,” also fly the Confederate flag. The Confederate flag represents an attempt to overthrow our government. To me, that’s the opposite of patriotic.
Steelers vs Patriots | Week 2 (2022) Reaction
Bill Belicheck found a way. Mac Jones had a solid game much better than last week, he and Jakobi Myers connected on multiple occasions for big plays throughout the game. Nelson Agholor had one of the best catches and touchdowns I've seen in a while and probably the best catch so far this year, being around 5'11 jumping over '3 Akhello Witherspoon. Pittsburgh needs to open up there playbook, they're pass concepts have been looking stale and repetitive over the past two or three seasons and it looks like they need some more creativity in the playcalling.
Dolphins vs Patriots | Week 1 2022 Highlights Reaction
The Patriots seemed to struggle all around, although they didn't allow a lot of points they struggled as the game went on containing the Dolphins offense, which could be a problem in their second matchup. I can't hold too much on the Pats due to this only being week one but they'll have to clean up a lot if they want to make it out of this tough division. Th Dolphins look good on both sides of the ball and as the season goes look like they good put together a threatening offense as they continue to build chemistry.
Patriots vs Raiders | Preseason Week 3
The Patriots seemed to struggle, although its preseason and I'm not very alarmed it was surprising to see Zappe and Jones both throw interceptions and one go for a touchdown. The Raiders look good this preseason going 4-0, it'll be a confidence boost to go into the regular season with.
Panthers vs Patriots | Preseason Week 2 (2022)
The Patriots looked pretty well rounded and smothered the Panthers handsomely on both sides of the ball. The QB battle seems to still be in the air and with Matt Corral out possibly for the year the conversation and competition is much thinner and someone will have to be named soon.
2022 NFL Draft Review: New England Patriots
After not qualifying for the NFL Playoffs in 2020, the New England Patriots bounced back with a 10-7 record last season. However, New England was absolutely destroyed by the Buffalo Bills 47-17 in their AFC Wild Card Game.
