While in Moab, Utah, you need to spend at least 1 day in Arches National Park!. There’s plenty to do in the park to span a visit of several days, but sometimes, all you have is a short amount of time.

Planning a long road trip requires finding plenty of balance. The required driving time has to be offset with some enjoyable stops. I have found that the longer the drive, the bigger the reward should be at the end. Since this road trip was somewhat of a circular route, I had strategically placed a couple of the biggest hits on the way home. After our morning at Shoshone Falls, we were back on the road for another seven hours of drive time. Our day’s excursion had brought us through Salt Lake City and deposited us in the Green River Valley. This would allow us to make a predawn visit to Arches National Park, where we were planning to do some hiking in wonderland. With all of the hype we had heard about this park, we spent a restless night in anticipation of the next day’s adventure.

With such a variety of things to do in Moab Utah, it’s no wonder this is such a popular place to visit. Surrounded by some of the West’s best national parks, the mighty Colorado River, and out of this world red rock formations, this place begs to be explored.

Dead Horse Point State Park, in southeastern Utah, is an incredible example of the deep wells of beauty that can be found by Moab, Utah. Countless canyons carved by the Colorado River stretch out for miles and miles. And in the park, hikes lead to overlooks that fill the viewer with an enormous sense of wonder and awe.

The Dead Horse Ultra 50m race took place on Saturday 11/19 in Moab, Utah. The race showed off the Magnificent Seven Trails off Gemini Bridges. Runners experienced challenging slickrock with stunning views of Arches National Park and the snow-capped peaks of the La Sal Mountains.

The red rocks and beautiful scenery of Moab are enjoyable for people who like the outdoors. There are many activities to participate in at Moab, including hiking, biking, and ATV riding.

Carbon County Mountain(Image is author's) Moab, Utah, has become a tourist destination for people from around the United States and even the world. It is a beautiful, scenic area where red rocks abound. The spectacular views are breathtaking. Getting to Moab from the Salt Lake City area (where tourists may fly into if traveling by plane) may be a pleasant automobile ride which will go through Carbon County, Utah.

Blu Pig BBQ(Image is author's) If you visit Moab, Utah, and want a good barbeque meal, you might want to try the Blu Pig BBQ and Blues Joint. It is a restaurant conveniently located at 811 South Main Street in downtown Moab.

Here is our time spent at Arches and Canyonlands National Parks in Utah

Am I really telling you NOT to visit Arches National Park? No. The purpose of this video is to open your eyes to all of the other amazing places to explore in and around Moab, Utah. Arches National Park sees over 1.5 million visitors annually and can get pretty crowded. Get out and see some of the lesser known areas and avoid those crowds while still experiencing some incredible places. Here are the 10 in this video: 1. Colorado National Monument 2. Fisher Towers 3. UTV Tour 4. Mountain Biking 5. Mill Creek 6. Corona & Bowtie Arch 7. Gold Bar Campground 8. State Route 279 9. Wall Street Climbing Area 10. Dead Horse Point State Park You can still go to Arches, but try to be strategic about when you go! We couldn’t resist a sunset hike to Delicate Arch. This was around the end of May and in the RV, we almost did not get a spot. Like most places, going early in the morning is the best and this was especially true for Dead Horse

Moab, Utah is a best in nation, destination for outdoor recreation! This is the Sunset UTV Tour with Outlaw Jeep Adventures. We had a blast exploring the Fins & Things trail which definitely quenched our thirst for adventure, but did not go above and beyond our skill set and new off road drivers. Our guide brought waters for us to drink while we stopped to watch the sun sink. What a wild ride! Thanks for watching!

We visited Arches National park and it is such an amazing national park. The natural sandstone arches are very dramatic, impressive, and just beautiful!!! Everyone needs to see this wonderful national park!!
