Time really does fly as we find ourselves at the end of another month. This is the last weekend in October, and with Halloween on Monday, most of the weekend events are Halloween-themed. I am including a few non-Halloween events, and here is also the Halloween weekend one, in case you missed it. Of course, can't forget to mention Saturday is the opening day of deer hunting season, good luck to all the hunters. The final Honor Flight Maine of 2022 will be arriving at Portland Jetport Sunday if you would like to welcome home the veterans. Have a great weekend!

Welcome to the weekly edition of things to do this weekend. Things to Do for the Weekend of 9/10 and 9/11
It's time to wrap up our busy week with another edition of things to do for the weekend. Nothing is more fitting for feeling like fall than going to an agricultural fair and we are in luck because this weekend there happens to be a few fairs to choose from. There are also some car shows and craft shows. Maybe you are into the arts and if that is the case there are a few art events you might be interested in checking out. If you are a foodie don't worry I've got you covered with a cheese festival and I even have something for the pirate fans and daschund dog lovers. I guarantee there is something for everyone along with plenty of family-friendly events. With Sunday being the anniversary of 9/11 I made sure to include some events dedicated to remembering 9/11 for anyone interested in participating.

Where you can see fireworks in Maine
Nothing is better than watching a beautiful firework display and with it being the Fourth of July on Monday many Maine towns will be holding fireworks displays this weekend or on the 4th. I have a list of the towns I could find that had an announcement about fireworks on either their town government page or Facebook pages and put together this list to make it easier for everyone to find a fireworks display. Please also keep in mind if the weather over the next few days doesn't cooperate it could result in some towns deciding to cancel their fireworks. Have a safe and fun Fourth of July everybody!
