The second version of my 2022 NFL mock draft for the New England Patriots.

There have been some questions surrounding New England Patriots’ quarterback Mac Jones and his arm strength. Jones who had a fairly successful rookie season has Patriots’ fans excited for his future, while critics don’t think Jones will ever become a top tier quarterback. The main point that is consistently brought up is that Jones doesn’t have the arm strength to lead New England to the Super Bowl.

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the New England Patriots have been busy meeting with potential prospects. Today they met with Mac Jones' former Alabama teammate, wide receiver John Metchie.

Karen Guregian Tweeted: SiriusXM NFL analyst Jim Miller on Pats' faith in Mac Jones: “I think players believe in (Jones) . . . Hey, it’s a lot to put on a second-year QB. But I think they’re doing it because they know he’s capable of doing it. Just like Tom (Brady) was.” In this video, Ray gives opinion on Guregian's tweet, and responds to some of the responses from NFL fans.

Outside of the 2020 season when Bill Belichick took a shot on Cam Newton, the New England Patriots have had stability at the quarterback position since 1993. Drew Bledsoe was responsible for making the Patriots relevant. Tom Brady turned the Patriots into a dynasty. Mac Jones at his worst will develop into a solid game manager. Pats Nation may need to take a step back and appreciate what they have had, and what they currently have.

Bill Belichick seems like he’s in no mood to rebuild his coaching staff, and instead of brining in new faces, Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk wrote a piece that highlights how Belichick is sticking with what he knows instead of teaching the Patriots Way to new faces.
