Second MTA Worker in a Month Assaulted at Same Bronx Subway Station
BRONX - A second MTA worker has been assaulted within the same month and at the same Bronx subway station in yet another unprovoked attack, cops said. At around noon on September 28, a 53-year-old MTA employee was working inside the East 238 Street & Nereid Avenue subway station in Wakfield. A man walked up to the subway worker and punched him in the face with a closed fist.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK--- A grandmother was fatally struck by a Brooklyn pickup truck driver while pushing her baby granddaughter in a stroller Tuesday, according to police; the New York Daily News reports. The 66-year-old victim was in the crosswalk at 25th and Bath Aves. when the driver of a Dodge Ram plowed into her just after 1 p.m., cops said. The driver, believed to be an MTA employee, was heading south on 25th Ave. by the Ulmer Park Depot, where express MTA buses are serviced, when he turned left onto Bath Ave. and plowed into the woman and her 2-year-old granddaughter; per the New York Daily News reports.

Girl Assaulted on Bus During Random Attack in Pelham Bay By Dan Gesslein Bronx Voice August 29, 2023 BRONX - A teenage girl was punched in the head while riding a city bus in Pelham Bay in what cops are calling a random attack. At around 1 pm on July 26, a 13-year-old girl was sitting on an MTA Bx8 bus traveling on Crosby Avenue. When the bus was in front of TD Bank, a middle aged man walked over to the teen and without warning punched her in the head. The attacker then got off the bus and fled on foot down Crosby Avenue. Cops said the teen refused medical treatment the scene. After an investigation police released a photo of the suspect. He is a male with a light complexion. He is bald with a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark track suite jacket, blue jeans and had a white towel draped around his neck. He was also seen wearing white and blue sneakers. The photo appears to have been taken in a parkland area similar to Pelham Parkway. The suspect was seen in the photo carrying grey and red milk crates full of cleaning supplies. Cops would not state if the suspect has been known to authorities. Days after another metro passenger was fatally stabbed, a guy was discovered on a New York City train suffering from lethal stab wounds early on Saturday morning.
