In a mock "Madness" event, outdoor fans voted four North Georgia State Parks into a fantasy final four, then selected one as their state champion. Dreamed up by outdoors shop and online retailer Wander North Georgia to celebrate Georgia state parks, 16 North Georgia state parks were placed into a tournament-style bracket. Over the course of two weeks, outdoors fans voted on social media for their favorites in head-to-head competitions until only four remained. The event coincided with the NCAA basketball tournament, which owns copyrights to the terms March Madness and Final Four.

On Sunday night, the full 68-team bracket was officially unveiled for March Madness. Every year, Selection Sunday ultimately puts to rest any number of debates involving a countless number of teams. This season was no different as a number of teams emerged as clear-cut winners and losers. Several teams have legitimate gripes after being snubbed out of an NCAA Tournament bid altogether. Even within the bracket itself, a whole bunch of the committee’s seeding decisions insulted the intelligence of college basketball analysts everywhere.

The brackets are now complete and the excitement is at a peak. Since 1939, 68 college teams are selected to compete for the title of NCAA National Champion. The first two rounds take place at venues all across the nation, then regional match-ups take place in Philadelphia, Chicago, San Antonio and San Francisco. The Final Four showdown for the men’s tournament as well as the Championship game will take place in New Orleans in the Caesars Superdome.

If you are moving slow on Sunday morning, then you will have to pick up the pace during March Madness because the America East Conference Men's Basketball Tournament begins Sunday afternoon. You should have time to go to these games since Chik-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby will be closed.

The 2022 Ingles Southern Conference (SoCon) Men's Basketball Tournament will take place this weekend at the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC. The Southern Conference has rich history in college basketball. The SoCon was the first conference in college basketball to hold a conference postseason tournament way back in 1921. The reason why we even experience March Madness now is because of the Southern Conference.
