New York Sheriff creates a new initiative he hopes will help owners reunite with their pets if they ever go missing

Cats are lost and found all the time, but the case of Ashes the cat is a little out of the ordinary. She went missing nearly 7 years ago from her home in Maine, in August 2015. At the time she disappeared, her owners eventually gave up on her ever coming back, fearing that she'd been taken by a predator.
