We love Middle Eastern food and one of our "go to" places for Persian food is Shirin Restaurant in Woodland Hills. Here's what we ordered "to go"... Persian eggplant dip called Kashke Bademjan, vegetable soup with barley, filet mignon kabob, koobideh and fish kabob.

FIRST - hamachi crudo, beef vinaigrette, cucumber, grapes, cilantro - roasted beets, grains, chickpeas, cucumber, preserved lemon, sumac, yogurt, watercress -steak tartare, crostini, porcini, aioli, mizuna kimchi, scallion, sesame SECOND - diver scallop, faro risotto, roasted shimej & porcini mushroom, fennel pollen, pickled leek - crab, squid ink pasta, calabrian chili, corn, chives, bottarga - Salmon, delicata squash, miso brown butter, grilled squashimi, sherry-maple-glaze, basil DESSERT - tiramisu, kumquat, strawberry sorbet, vanilla ice cream
BBQ time at Gus's
A rack of baby back ribs, brick chicken, beef brisket, corned bread on cast iron skillet, creamed corn, mac & cheese, coleslaw and dirty rice.... bbq craving satisfied at Gus BBQ in Porter Ranch. Our first time in this location. We used to go to the original location in South Pasadena. Love the place!
