Littleton Museum: A kid-friendly activity in Littleton, Colorado
A visit to the Littleton Museum is a favorite stop for my 2-year-old daughter who loves visiting the farm animals at the different sites. The 1860s homestead farm and the 1890s turn-of-the-century urban farm represent how people lived and worked during the early years in Littleton and the South Platte Valley. Museum staff and volunteers dressed in period-appropriate costumes, work on the farm sites, run the working blacksmith shop, and teach in Littleton's first one-room school house, offering a "living history' perspective to the museum visitor. With 40 acres to explore, it's an easy way to spend time outside. Inside you can find exhibition galleries and a children's interactive gallery.
