Cowboys' Ole Miss "EDGE" Sam Williams | Film Session 2022
Williams was considered an elite junior college prospect after earning first-team JUCO All-American honors at Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2018 (28.5 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks). His pass-rush skills translated to the SEC in 2019, as the Montgomery, Alabama, native led the Rebels with six sacks among his 37 total tackles (9.5 for loss). He also intercepted a pass and forced a fumble in 12 appearances (eight starts). He started six of 10 games played in 2020, posting 39 tackles, eight for loss with a team-high four sacks on the year. Williams garnered 2021 third-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-SEC honors by ranking fifth in the FBS with a school-record of 12.5 sacks (among 57 total tackles, 16 for loss) and tying for 10th in the country with four forced fumbles in 13 starts...
Cowboys' South Alabama WR Jalen Tolbert | Film Session 2022
Tolbert had 151 catches for 2,703 yards and 20 touchdowns. That late growth and his ability to make big plays in space are why the Dallas Cowboys drafted him with the No. 88 pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft... Overview Silky smooth athlete who has morphed into a monster over the last two seasons. Tolbert is a high-character prospect with skill elements that are dripping with NFL potential. He gave work to everyone he faced, including SEC cover corners at Tennessee. His three-sport background offers a unique perspective to pull from at his position, and his route-running gives him a leg up in camp battles early on. His traits, talent, and production should push him up the board, and dialing up the competitive spirit could turn him into a top-flight WR2.
Cowboys' Trevon Diggs All 11 INTs "Ball Magnet" | Film Session
11 interceptions, tying the great Everson Walls' single-season franchise record and tying for third-most by an NFL player in a season since the 1970 merger. Diggs had at least one pick in 10 of 16 starts and became the first NFL player with 11 interceptions and at least 20 pass breakups since PBUs became an official stat in 1994. In just his second season, the former second-round pick emerged as one of the league's premier ball-hawking cornerbacks, earning Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors.
Cowboys' Malik Hooker "Bigger Role" At Safety | Film Session
The Cowboys brought him along gradually, easing him into a role as a third safety. That role seemed to solidify in the second half of the season, though, as he managed 44 tackles (30 solos) and an interception in his final six games of the season. Re-signing Hooker is a step toward piecing the safety depth chart together. At the very least, it gives them another veteran with starting experience, alongside Donovan Wilson. Time will tell if the long-term plan is for Hooker to step into a starting role in 2022. Malik Hooker will have a bigger role...
Cowboys' Newly Signed Ryan Nall | "H-back" Film Session
Nall is a "get what's blocked" runner who struggles to access the agility or burst needed to work outside the tackles. Nall does offer a fairly decisive downhill option with good vision who sees the hole and will hit it without dancing. Once he gets up a head of steam, Nall is able to finish with some power, but gaining the head of steam is challenging for him at times. Nall may offer some short-yardage potential and maybe an H-back in this #Cowboys system.
Cowboys Told Jalen Ramsey They Would Draft Him, But Selected Ezekiel Elliott Instead...
Cowboys told Jalen Ramsey in 2016 when he visited Dallas before the NFL Draft they would take him if he was there at No. 4… Ramsey believed he was coming to Dallas, but as they say, the rest is history... #CowboysNation
Cowboys' Jabril Cox is coming along great in his rehab from the ACL tear
Stephen Jones said that Jabril Cox is coming along great in his rehab from the ACL tear & “should be a big plus for us this year. Probably fill right in where Keanu left off” implying he’ll get starter-level snaps. David Helman mentions it’s interesting to note that Stephen Jones didn’t view LB as a huge need for the team with the draft coming up due to Micah Parsons & Jabril Cox on top of Jayron Kearse also being able to play LB.
Cowboys' Newly Signed Dante Fowler Jr. Film Session
Back in the 2015 NFL Draft, arguably the two best pass rushers in the class were Dante Fowler Jr. and Randy Gregory. Fowler went No. 3 overall to the Jaguars and Gregory dropped to the Cowboys in the second round because of off-the-field issues. But from a talent standpoint, they were rather close in comparison. Ironically enough, after the Cowboys could not retain Gregory just a few days ago in free agency, they've now turned to Fowler, who has agreed to terms on a 1-year deal with the Cowboys on Friday. The contract is reportedly worth about $5 million for the 2022 season. This will be Fowler's fourth team as the veteran has played two years in Jacksonville, two with the Rams and the last two in Atlanta. Fowler, who turns 28 in August, has 35 career sacks, including 11.5 in 2019 with the Rams.
The Cowboys met with Central Michigan OT Bernhard Raimann | Observation
The Cowboys met with Bernhard Raimann thoughts HEIGHT: 6'6 1/8" WEIGHT: 304 PROS — Very good athletic ability, body control and weight distribution to stay centered and balanced on blocks. — Adept and crafty use of hands to consistently find his latch, create leverage, reset when needed and tie up defenders. — Plays firm with his eyes up, head back and a strong posture to keep his head out of blocks. — Despite not having a lot of sand in his lower half, he smoothly transitions to his anchor with sound technique to brace, create force through the in-steps of his feet and throttle down momentum from the bull rush. — Sticky run-blocker with the hand placement and pop to create lift at the point of attack and consistent leg drive to strain, steer and stay attached to blocks. — Dependable and steady finisher. CONS — Tends to prematurely open his hips in pass protection when speed-rushers attack his edge, creating a soft outside corner.

Cowboys Draft Prospect Trevor Penning Northern Iowa OT
Trevor Penning is a redshirt senior who aligns at Left Tackle for the Panther offense. good athlete with good explosion and agility to get out on the perimeter. In the run game, he is a nasty and physical player. He has a savage temperament and has finished several plays with the defender on the ground. He is extremely powerful at the point of attack and gets consistent vertical movement in the run game. However, due to his size and inability to bend extremely well, leverage issues are of slight concern against smaller edge defenders. In the passing game, he has been a dominant player in the Missouri Valley Conference. He bends a little at the waist which gets him in trouble at times. He had a couple of instances of struggling with the hard inside move by quicker defenders.
Derek Stingley Jr. NFL Draft 2022: Scouting Report for LSU CB
Derek Stingley Jr. is a crafty defensive back who was interchangeable throughout LSU’s secondary in 2020. He is a fluid athlete with a smooth running style and hip swivel. Stingley shows very good patience in the press while using his hands well to control receivers in both the run and pass game. He has the speed to run with receivers downfield and the recovery speed to make up for when out of position. He sinks his hips well to get in and out of breaks while showing a good burst to the reception point. Stingley plays with good physicality in the run game, with the willingness to tackle. He reacts quickly to the reads, doing a good job in block destruction. He occasionally struggles with bigger blockers and the tackling of bigger running backs, though. Stingley has the ideal length teams are looking for in cornerbacks. Paired with his elite athleticism, ball skills, and scheme flexibility, he should be an early pick for the cornerback positions.
The Dallas Cowboys select Jermaine Johnson II (FSU) 2022 Mock Draft
Cowboys find themselves in a pretty good position with several talented players still available with the 24th overall pick. It also puts them in a bit of a quandary as to whether they stick to their board or draft more for need. By drafting Jermaine Johnson here they do a little bit of both. Johnson, whose draft stock is on the rise, would be a great fit with the Dallas Cowboys. With Randy Gregory potentially leaving via free agency and DeMarcus Lawrence possibly being a salary-cap casualty, the need to upgrade and add depth to the position is near the top of the Cowboys offseason to-do list, even with Micah Parsons as part of the equation. The former Georgia and Florida State pass rusher has Pro Bowl potential and is equally effective in the running or passing game. Even if the Cowboys are able to re-sign Gregory and decide to stick with D-Law for another year or two, Johnson is still a player who would be really hard for them to pass up regardless of who else is still on the board.
Daxton Hill Michigan Wolverines Defensive (Safety/Nickel) | Film Session ᴴᴰ
Hill played 1,549 snaps (appearing in 33 career games with 23 starts at safety/nickel) in two defensive systems for the Michigan Wolverines. Hill was versatile in Mike Macdonald’s system, but the predominant nickel defender aligned over the slot. He’s a safety by trade and has plenty of experience in that area. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2021. His brother is Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill. Hill reportedly posted a laser-timed 4.30 40-yard dash, a 43.6-inch vertical, and a 4.22 shuttle run as a high school prospect. Hill will find his way into the first round if he posts those numbers in Indianapolis. Pro Football Focus has him with eight pressures, 51 solo tackles, 21 STOPS, 6 PBUs, and two interceptions while surrendering a 70.6% completion rate. He also allowed one touchdown in 2021. He had four career interceptions and 13 PBUs through three seasons of play.
6' 6" 340 Pounds DT Jordan Davis "MONSTER" | Film Session ᴴᴰ
NFL Draft, big men don’t come much bigger than Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis. A 340-pound behemoth who stands at an imposing 6’6″, Davis spurned the chance to go to the NFL to return for his senior season. As a result, he projects to be one of the top defensive tackles in this class. As alluded to in the introduction, Davis is a gigantic man. When you’re as big as Davis is, it makes you a challenging object to manipulate. As a result, Davis sees more than his fair share of double teams. Although he isn’t particularly impactful in the passing game from a statistical standpoint, eating up those double teams allows success from elsewhere. To steal his phrase: “If there’s two on me, somebody’s free.”
