Gigantopithecus was a massive gorilla-like creature that stood 10 feet tall and weighed upwards of 1,100 pounds making it the largest primate that ever lived. It thrived in the tropical forests of Southern China during the Pleistocene Epoch between 2.6 million to 11,700 years ago.

In our latest video, we have Ride Footage of Skull Island - Reign of Kong at Universal Studios Florida! This is the 3D and 4D ride attraction based on the most recent King Kong movies. King Kong is a big gorilla living on Skull Island which is home to many exotic creatures, many of which were thought to have been extinct. Despite all of the powerful and scary inhabitants of Skull Island, Kong definitely reigns supreme! You board a truck that accommodates several passengers and journey to the mysterious Skull Island. There you're attacked by many of the island's unique animals and everything looks bleak and hopeless. Luckily, King Kong is nearby and he comes to our rescue! All of the action takes place on 3D screens that line either side of the truck. After the battle, you get to actually meet the very large animatronic of King Kong. It's definitely a highlight of the experience!

Touch Kong’s hands which have broken through the walls and feel them vibrate as he growls, huffs and puffs in frustration and anger. Planes circle outside the windows, just as they did in the original 1933 film.
