A Small Waterfall Hides Away In A Pine Forest, Not Far From a Popular Outlet Mall Near Woodstock, GA
Hidden in a pine forest not far from a popular outlet mall in Woodstock, GA, a small waterfall marks the end of Toonigh Creek as it enters Lake Allatoona. We hiked to the falls from nearby Olde Rope Mill Park, first following trails shared with mountain bikes, then turning on to old mining roads. Passing under noisy I-575, we walked through an abandoned mining area, then reentered the forest along Little River. After twisting and turning along the unmarked trail, the All-Trails app got us back on route to find the falls. Follow our 3.7-mile out-and-back hike in this video, featuring trail scenery, terrain descriptions and video from the falls. Our Awe-Filled Kayak Trip Paddling Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Legendary Lake Superior
We connected with Pictured Rocks Kayaking for a five-mile kayaking tour at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on legendary Lake Superior. Our two-hour paddle treated us to spectacular water-level and close-up views -- plus some unique tunnel and cave paddling adventures -- just not possible from larger tour boats. We keep our narration to a minimum, allowing you to enjoy the bright colors and clear waters, courtesy of Mother Nature. The colored cliffs result from water leaching through porous limestone, carrying minerals. Iron creates the red and orange colors. The blues and greens come from copper. Manganese deposits account for the brown and black. The white is limonite. Can you do this tour? We're both 65-year olds in reasonable physical shape from biking, walking and on-and-off gym workouts. We’re also experienced gentle, flat-water kayakers. We had no problems, and neither did anyone else on our tour. For more, follow DeanLand on Newsbreak, and visit OurTravelCafe.com

Spend the day on Shell Key finding sea urchins, crabs, jellyfish, sand dollars, and endless shells!
Enjoy the day on Shell Key! Shell Key is a small narrow barrier island located in Pinellas County, Florida. The primary ways to reach Shell Key is by boat or by kayak (or other water craft), of which the Shell Key Ferry launches daily from Fort DeSoto and has a fee of $25 per person. When taking a kayak out, be sure to review your map prior to departure. The kayak ride can take up to an hour to reach Shell Key, depending upon where you launch from. So remember to bring enough water, sunscreen, and snacks. There are kayak rental kiosks when you enter the Fort DeSoto Park and pay the entrance fee. On this adventure, we saw a live sea urchin, two crabs, two jelly fish, and a sand dollar. Its pretty cool to see all this underwater life! *We return the live sea creatures that we find- back where we found them. You can learn more about the adventure to Shell Key here on my blog article! https://fitlifeandtravel.com/2021/06/11/shelling-adventures-kayaking-to-shell-key-florida/
