Music on the Square Kicks Off Early with Fundraiser Event in Jonesborough
Jonesborough, Tennessee's popular summer music event, Music on the Square, is starting early this year with a fundraising event at the McKinney Center in Jonesborough on Friday, March 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will enjoy live music from the Johnson City Jazz Collective, heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks provided by Main Street Café & Catering and Depot Street Brewing, and both a silent and live auction.

A once-prominent family, the Taylor’s, now rest a mile from Downtown Jonesborough at the family cemetery, where the Christopher Taylor House was originally located. Chocolate Festival Returning to Tennessee's Oldest Town in February
Chocolate Fest 2022 is coming to Jonesborough. The festival will be a three-day event with a limited number of tickets are available. The seventh Annual Chocolate Fest is sponsored by the Jonesborough Area Merchants & Service Association (JAMSA). This will be the second time in the event’s history as a three-day event. The festival will run from Friday Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 13. All tickets must be purchased in advance, and the event will go on – rain, snow or shine.

Yesterday (January 11, 2022), Travel + Leisure Magazine posted the article "Tennessee's 8 Most Charming Small Towns." Jonesborough and Erwin made the list, as did Gatlinburg, Granville, Dayton, Hohenwald, Leiper's Fork, and Lynchburg.
