Last Sunday the Jets headed into their rest week with a win over the Buffalo Bills. The Bills currently holds the second spot in the AFC East. If the Jets had won this match they would have ascended to the top of their division. After this defeat, the NY Jets has 14 consecutive losses to the NE Patriots. Every year NFL offenses get more and more QB centric. One side effect is that it has made backup QBs more valuable. If you lose your starter, you need a guy to keep you afloat until he returns.

The Browns looked to have the game in the bag, but all of a sudden a garbage time touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Corey Davis turns into a full blown comeback and have the Jets posting one of the best performances of the weekend.

This was a pretty good game to end the Jets and Giants preseasons, both teams 2-0, city rivals and trying to complete their preseason undefeated. Rookie Tight End Austin Allen showed some flashes, he looks like he can be a real threat and hopefully warrant snaps. He has great size and decent speed and could easily be a cheat code putting in the right work. Mike White and Chris Strevler both looked nearly flawless accounting for 2 passing touchdowns each and both passing with a 76% completion percentage. A big topic earlier in the week was Denzel Mims requesting a trade. He made a statement in this game putting up 7 catches for 102 yards and touchdown, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle it.

The Falcons and Jets both played well. Jets did a great job coming back to seal the win and showed some resilience. Mariota looks like he's ready and I'm very curious how he'll perform this regular season.
