IRSC debuted the first Women’s Conference on Friday February 11th at their Muller campus in Vero Beach. The purpose of the conference is the empower the journey of women to lead and serve their communities. According to Lynne O’Dell, the Conference Chair, this is going to be an annual event as she knew it was something that not only the college needed but the community as well.

Vero Beach had their first TEDx event on October 19th, 2019, at the Emerson Center, a few months before the pandemic started. It was a grand affair and sellout. Unfortunately, the coronavirus put a damper on things and Michael Strezinski, the founder of TEDxVero, along with his board were unable to schedule it again until now.

Get ready for the jet stream to dip down and bring in the cold this weekend! It will not get past 60 degrees this weekend and the windchill will make the air feel absolutely freezing. While it may be ideal to stay home and curl up with an enjoyable book or organize closets, there is someplace indoors to spend the day and have fun. Saturday, January 29th from 10-5 is the Indoor Fest at the Indian River Mall.
