(Colorado Springs, CO) It's refreshing to jump into the water on a hot day, especially if you have been hiking in a fur coat. The reservoir at Stratton Open Space in southwest Colorado Springs is the perfect place for dogs to cool off after a walk.

Continuing on the Eagle Creek Trail, we begin to make our way to some pretty high mountain ridges. These were definitely a little intense but were extremely fun to hike along and provided some great views!

Finished with the Oregon coast, and where I find the time filming incredible places in the much hotter dry south Oregon forests by Medford Oregon! In this video, we hike and explore Mill Creek Falls, and wander its riches in wonder.

There aren’t very many people at White Sands National Park. I don’t know how many national parks you can say that about anymore. On the days I was there, weekday and weekend, I was mostly morbidly alone. The sand is lovely, but who wants to go to a beach without water? And hiking in the sand, I can now tell you from experience, is precisely as difficult as you might expect it to be. But this place isn’t about the common or expected and it’s not for everyone.

Finally getting out on a camping adventure after a lengthy hiatus from doing so. We got to enjoy this one with the company of some friends. We start off on a hike before flashing back to the night before. Then return to the hike and get halfway through before I figure viewers will stop watching so we cut it for Episode 2! The Joatngna Trails is a 0.6 miles loop trail located near Mount Baldy that features chaparral covered hillsides and is good for all skill levels. The area was formerly covered by eucalyptus trees which burned in the 2003 Padawa Fires. Your destination will be the lookout to view Mount San Antonia which stands at an impressive 10,064 ft. Our family decided to check out this family friendly trail located near Mt. Baldy California. We were only there for a few hours, but we had a great time exploring.

The number of hikers on the Appalachian Trail (AT) has dropped off this season. The weather in the mountains this season has been brutal, with the number of intense storms and bouts of heavy rains across the southern Appalachians.

Admittedly, summer is my least favorite season in the Upstate. It is likely due to having spent 18 years living in Florida, wishing for a break from the heat. While I love having the boys home with us more and the freedom to travel and explore our beautiful area, the heat can be deal breaker. Whether you’re up for a trek through a crystalline cave, a stunning waterfall hike, or a walk through a forest, Pennsylvania is home to many of the best and most sought-after outdoor landscapes.

Since moving to Georgia and pursuing waterfall hiking as a hobby, we’ve been taunted and tantalized by wonderful pictures from Lula Falls, a Georgia geological gem. Located in the Northwest corner of the state, wedged between Cloudland Canyon’s twin falls to the South and Chattanooga’s natural, commercial and Civil War attractions to the North, Lula Falls remained on our “to-do” list, but never seemed to get checked off.

Lula Falls is one of Georgia's geologic wonders, where Rock Creek plunges 160-feet down into a deep canyon. But if you visit this land trust site tucked away in the Northwest corner of Georgia and only see the falls, you're missing much of the natural beauty preserved in this 8,000+ acre conservation area. For sure, the falls are spectacular. At approximately the same height as world-famous Niagara Falls, Lula Falls ranks as the second-tallest free-falling falls in Georgia, slightly behind Toccoa Falls. But surrounding the falls, Lula Lake Land Trust's core preserve offers a plethora of hiking trails through lush forest, blooming meadows, and along a stunning ridge-line standing hundreds of feet above the neighboring area. In this episode we venture back to Mount Mitchell, the highest elevation, east of the Mississippi to visit the highest elevation grave of Elisha Mitchell. This mountain has kicked my tail twice. Will it win again?

I like to refer to Asheville as the hippie melting pot of culture, breweries, culinary treats, and natural beauty. With each visit, I find something new to love. On our most recent weekend in Asheville, we brought our dog with us, nervously wondering how much it would hamper our freedom. As it turns out, we found plenty of pet-friendly activities, so I’m sharing our itinerary with you!

In this video I'll be taking you along as we hike to the top of Diamond Head State Monument on the beautiful island of Hawaii. This is the most famous landmark in Oahu overlooking Waikiki Beach. Currently the park requires reservations for out of state visitors. Admission is $5 per adult and $10 for parking. The visitor center and parking lot are located inside the 3,520 ft wide crater. The hike is approximately 3/4 mile and it ascends 560' with lots of stairs. The views from the top are incredible! While exploring this mountain you can also take a look inside the batteries that were built inside the mountain for military fortification.

Located in the Stanislaus National Forest, there is a Pinecrest National Recreation Trail, a four mile hiking trail around the lake. My wife and I recently hiked it. Enjoy the views. Please follow, like and share this video. Thank you.
