Seven Years in Prison for Union County Gun Trafficker
A Union County, New Jersey, man was sentenced Wednesday, May 25, to 84 months in prison for trafficking guns throughout Elizabeth, NJ. U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Wednesday, May 25, that Mark Hernandez, aka “Skrap,” 26, of Rahway, NJ, was sentenced to 84 months in prison for gun trafficking offenses.

Update: 674 weapons collected at 2 Morris County Gun Buy Back Events. The program resulted in the successful surrender of 674 weapons and participants will be reimbursed $104,675. A total of $100,025 was paid out in cash and IOU’s issued for $4,650, the value of 26 firearms.

The Philly Four: Middle schoolers getting screened for weapons in Philadelphia
Philadelphia public schools began periodically screening students for weapons on Monday. Weapons screenings were already being utilized in Philadelphia high schools but on Monday middle schools were added to the protocol.
