Gun safety: local church gives away free gun safes
Recently, the United Church of Christ gave away gun safes. The event took place in Longmont’s Public Safety Department parking lot. Where residents lined up to receive a free gun safe. The church’s efforts to promote safe gun storage were a partnership with Out Boulder County, the Longmont Public Safety Department, and the Longmont Community Foundation. Thank you to all.

This week's most notable shooting incident thus far in Texas was on Monday when a woman with a long history of having, "previously faced charges including arson, robbery, criminal trespass and false reporting — all filed in cities across North Texas over the past several years", was shot by police after she pulled out a gun at the Dallas Love Field airport, aimed it toward the ceiling and fired several times, Dallas police said. No one else was injured.

The event was organized by March for Our Lives, a gun-reform group founded by student survivors of the 2018 high school shooting in Parkland, Florida, which killed 17 people.
