Two Students Arrested for Gun Possession at Morris Knolls High School
Morris Knolls High School staff and Denville Police Department work together to ensure the safety of students and staff. A potential crisis was averted at Morris Knolls High School yesterday when attentive staff members discovered two students in possession of a gun. Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Denville Police Chief Frank Perna confirmed the arrest of the two students following the incident.
Tragic Shooting in Houston: Three-Year-Old Accidentally Kills Four-Year-Old Sister

The incident occurred at an apartment on Bammel North Houston Road near Tomball Parkway, where the girls and their parents were spending time with five other adults, all family, and friends.

11year old boy playing with a gun shoots himself in the head at West Side, police
The shooting happened just after 9 a.m. Friday at The Terraces at Haven for Hope in the 700 block of N. San Marcos, near Ruiz Street. The boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, a San Antonio Fire Department spokesman said, but he was breathing and communicating at the time. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the boy was playing with four of his friends, and his parents were also inside the home.
Many gun owners keep at least one gun unlocked in case of emergency
According to a recent press release, a Rutgers University study shows that the majority of gun owners keep at least one firearm unlocked. Some of these owners see gun locks as an unnecessary obstacle keeping them from quickly accessing their guns in an emergency. The study shows that when owners do lock their guns, most prefer to use gun safes.
Talking with firearm retailers about gun locks can increase their use
A Rutgers University study found that gun owners who were told about cable locks while buying a gun were more than twice as likely to use them compared to those who weren't told about the devices.

This week's most notable shooting incident thus far in Texas was on Monday when a woman with a long history of having, "previously faced charges including arson, robbery, criminal trespass and false reporting — all filed in cities across North Texas over the past several years", was shot by police after she pulled out a gun at the Dallas Love Field airport, aimed it toward the ceiling and fired several times, Dallas police said. No one else was injured.
