Georgia Veterans State Park was established as a memorial to US veterans. It has a fantastic outside exhibit with tanks, artillery, planes and a helicopter - well worth a visit even if just passing through this area. The park offers outdoor activities and is set alongside Lake Blackshear. Music by Silent Partner

Kolomoki Mounds State Park includes the oldest and largest Woodland Indian site in the Southeastern US! The Great Temple Mound is the oldest Indian mound and this state park has several other mounds, as well as an excavated mound within the visitor center (extra fee to visit it). This park also has a nearby lakeside campground (future video!). The lake, the mounds and the hiking trails are all fantastic! We visited this 2nd oldest Georgia State Park back in April, springtime! Leaves still were budding, and few flowers were bloomed but it was still a great time to visit. That time of year it wasn't busy, and it was very peaceful! This small but beautiful 233-acre park is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, so there is so much beauty surrounding it and so much to do close by! We used this state park as our base for a few days while visiting the area, stay tuned for those adventures! But in this video, we show you the beautiful Lake Trahlyta Trail and Trahlyta Falls! We enjoyed this State Park so much we visited it twice this year. First in January 2022 and then in August 2022. So you will see videos where there are a lot of leaves on the trees then some where there isn't as many leaves on the trees. Any who, "Georgia's little Grand Canyon" is such a beautiful site to see! This canyon was formed not naturally, but by poor farming practices back in the 1800's. But what was an accident turned into this beautiful piece of nature, that is easy on the eyes, thriving with trees and wildlife and just a great place to get outdoors with your family and friends!
