Skyrocketing Rents Have Younger Americans Struggling To Find Affordable Housing
The once red-hot housing market, coupled with skyrocketing inflation and aggressive interest rates has left younger Americans priced out of the property market. After enduring months of soaring rent increases, a majority of younger renters are contemplating on either moving back in with their parents or simply staying “forever renters.”
Opinion: Future Looks Bleak for GOP as Voters 18 – 29 Overwhelmingly Chose Democrats.
Young VoterPhoto by(via UCSC.edu) Young voters of the Gen Z (18 – 25) and Millennial (26 – 40) groups turned out in strong numbers these past midterms to back progressive ballot measures on abortion, forced prison labor, marijuana, Medicaid expansion, and minimum wage. Nationally, young voters supported Democrats over Republicans by 28 points. It was these same groups who also helped Biden decisively defeat former President Donald Trump in 2020.
Opinion: Ignoring Gen Z has become the Achilles' heel of the Republican Party
The GOP is well on its way to becoming the party of senior citizens, and it's all thanks to a single demographic: Generation Z. The Republican Party has been ignoring Gen Z for years and is losing its support.Photo by Zyanya BMO on Unsplash.

New Poll Suggests Gen Z Seek Fulfilling Relationships That Add Value To Their Lives
A new poll recently created quite a stir on social media – the number of men under 30 who haven't had sex is so dramatic that a particular segment of the internet is calling for a right to sex. There was a big factor they all seemed to miss, though; the poll wasn't about whether they'd ever had sex. It was in the last year. And the numbers were pretty similar for women.
Opinion: Gen Z is over your avocado toast and $15 coffees (Adios, Millennials)
So goodbye, Millennials. Gen Z is ready to take over. There are three coffee holders with ungrounded coffee beans, ground coffee, and latte.Photo by Nathan Dumlao on Unsplash. Gen Z is rejecting the cultural norms that Millennials embraced. For example, they are rebelling against spending money on things they don’t need and valuing experiences over possessions. Gen Z is also demanding change in the workplace, expecting businesses to be more socially responsible and giving employees more flexibility. Gen Z will significantly impact the economy and society, and corporations and parents should start preparing for them now.

"Voters under the age of 25 account for over 30% of new registrants in Texas this year. Gen Z is going to make Beto O’Rourke the next Governor of Texas!" Jack Cocchiarella. Can Gen Z lead Democrat nominee Beto O'Rourke to victory in the November election for Texas governor?
Opinion: Why is there such a divide?
Often I wonder why the older generation is so opposed to people under thirty-five. Living in a growing city like Gainesville and having lived in a city like Tampa, there are various differences. One wildly similar thing that I notice is a lack of room for both generations having a common ground. This isn't just an issue here, but it's an issue almost all over the world. In other countries they blame western civilizations, younger folk. It has nothing to do with the western idealist, but more so of a generation that was and still is tired of not being heard. Being twenty-five, having a friend group around the same age and hearing other people in my generation vent, we all share the trauma bond of feeling let down and ultimately not being cared for properly. Most of us, Gen-Z, Millennials and Zillennials, feel let down not only by our family but by society.

“Cash Stuffing” May Lead Generation Z to More Responsible Spending
In the early 1990s, Dave Ramsey was the one to watch or listen to for advice on budgeting and debt relief. His solution sounded simple: Construct a budget, breaking down how much money is required for rent, utilities, credit card bills, groceries, entertainment, etc. When cash comes in, it is placed in labeled envelopes based on the previous budgeting. That way, different “account” amounts can easily be monitored, and spending can be adjusted to not exceed the funds allotted in the budget. Of course, Ramsey has done a lot more than that and is still a public figure. But how many people born between 1997 and 2012 (“Gen Z”) have even heard of him?
