Evoke Cafe is a great place to stop for a coffee break when heading to OKC
Evoke is a wonderful Cafe with comfortable seating, fun vibes and great drinks and food. My wife loved her coffee and they her the non dairy options she loves, my boys and I enjoyed some delicious cookies during our visit. If you find yourself visiting OKC stop by Edmond for a coffee break and be sure to stop by and see the Edmond Blue Hippo.
Mexican Food with a view at Yucatán Taco Stand
Looking for a fun quick bite at the Bricktown Riverwalk in OKC? Yucatán Taco Stand has some fast Mexican food and drinks with a great view of the Bricktown river. It isn’t a restaurant with a waiter or waitress you just order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you. The food comes out pretty quick. The queso is a little different than some restaurants but it was still good. I had the street tacos which were tasty and quesadillas were good as well.
We tried Casa Grande in Broken Arrow.
We recently tried Casa Grande in Tulsa. It’s located on 71st street next to Ted’s. It was fairly busy but we were seated immediately and the service was fast. The restaurant was nice with plenty of seats inside and outside on the patio. The staff was friendly and fast to serve us. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the white queso and salsa. They brought the queso out complimentary although it was on the menu with a price. Not sure if they were running a special or if it’s always free queso. But it was great. For dinner I had the carne asada with queso, rice and beans. It was delicious. Our boys loved their burritos and quesadillas and my wife had the cheesy Chipotle Fajitas which she really enjoyed. Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food, great service and a fun restaurant. If your kids are queso critics like ours, this queso was approved. 😄
Ron's Hamburgers & Chili has been serving Oklahoma for over 40 years.
Ron's Hamburgers & Chili has been serving Oklahoma for over 40 years. It's a great lunch or dinner spot in Oklahoma and actually has spread into Texas and Arkansas. I love the burgers there and my wife loves the chili. It's a fun place to visit with a casual cafe atmosphere and great food.
Romantic Dinner at one of Tulsa’s hidden gems - Bluestone Steakhouse
Some friends suggested we try Bluestone Steakhouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We had never heard of it and it was definitely a hidden gem. It’s a great local place for a romantic date night. The food was delicious. They have a great selection of wines and meals, many of the meals can be prepared Keto friendly. At Bluestone they are dedicated to “scratch cooking” with all food, including sauces, prepared on-site from fresh ingredients. They bake fresh bread daily and it was so good and soft. We started off with Bluestone Bruschetta as our appetizer. For dinner Kayla had the Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken and I had the 45 day aged top sirloin steak. The steaks are Certified Aged Beef. My steak was good but I’m not big on marinated steaks so next time I would order a steak that is just seasoned and not marinated. The mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty and the vegetable melody was great. What really surprised us was the beautiful romantic seating and lighting.
