With the first week of the FHSAA Regional Softball Playoffs from May 8-12, Clay County had two teams get wins to continue their push for a State Championship. Listed below are the teams who played during the week and how they fared in their matchups.

The FHSAA YouTube account held a live stream Friday to announce the brackets for the FHSAA baseball and softball tournaments. Listed below are the 10 teams in Clay County who were selected to participate in the State Tournament.

The FHSAA’s final week of softball for the 2023 regular season produced seven victories for area teams across Clay County. Listed below in alphabetical order are the records of each high school softball team from April 24-27.

The FHSAA’s ninth week of softball for the 2023 season produced eight victories for area teams across Clay County. Listed below in alphabetical order are the records of each high school softball team from April 10-14.

The Fleming Island Golden Eagles softball team got a 4-0 shutout win on the road Tuesday night against the in-county rival Orange Park Raiders. The game was a defensive duel with no runs scored until the top of the fourth inning. The top of the inning started out with a double from Lauren Abram with a sacrifice bunt from Olivia Sikes to put Abram at third. Fleming capitalized on a runner in scoring position with an RBI triple from Alexis Bucklew.

The FHSAA’s seventh week of softball for the 2023 season produced 11 victories for area teams across Clay County. Listed below in alphabetical order are the records of each high school softball team from April 3-7.

The FHSAA’s sixth week of softball for the 2023 season produced six victories for area teams across Clay County. Listed below in alphabetical order are the records of each high school softball team from March 27-31.

The Clay High Blue Devils softball team got a mercy rule win at home Friday night against the Providence Stallions, 11-1. Despite the Blue Devils winning by mercy rule, Clay fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning after Daci Sarver got an RBI on a sacrifice ground ball.

The FHSAA’s fifth week of softball for the 2023 season produced nine victories for area teams across Clay County. Listed below in alphabetical order are the records of each high school softball team from March 20-24.

The Clay High softball team won a close game at home against the Ridgeview Panthers Tuesday night, 3-2, courtesy of Clay’s dominant defense and a walk-off hit from Kendyll Mann.

The Clay High Blue Devils’ softball team held their annual soda scrimmage Wednesday night to raise donations and a chance for the girls to play under the lights in front of their families before the season.
