“It appears that the garbage truck, which is owned by Roselle Disposal of Fairfield, had just exited onto the Gately Overpass from Route 46 West, when Thompson lost control and the vehicle flipped on its side into the oncoming lane. Thankfully, no vehicles were coming in the opposite lane as I am relatively sure it would have resulted in a fatality”

The National Weather Service weather station located at Essex County Airport in Fairfield has issued the following hazardous weather information which forecasts 3 inches of snow Thursday overnight into Friday morning.

“It was horrible. I couldn’t believe there weren’t more serious injuries. The accident itself was at the intersection of Eagle Rock Avenue and Rall Court and the collision was extremely loud. It sounded like it was in my front yard about 500 feet away.” ~ Al Place, Roseland resident.

The National Weather Service weather station located at Essex County Airport in Fairfield has issued the following hazardous weather information which forecasts 2 inches of snow Thursday overnight into Friday morning.

Late today, NJ released their latest Covid-19 Activity Level Report (CALI) showing for the first time since Apr. 25, 2020, that the majority of the state is Red Level: Very High.

“Yesterday at approximately 3pm a 27-year-old West Orange police officer entered a convenience store on South Valley Road and observed an altercation between two men. One of the men, Forshee, was allegedly armed with a handgun. The officer intervened. It is alleged that during the struggle, the suspect struck the officer with the gun and fired the weapon striking the officer in the head. “ ~ Theodore N. “This afternoon an off-duty West Orange Police Officer sustained a non-life threatening injury in attempting to intervene in a robbery in progress at Krauszers on 12. S. Valley Rd. The suspect firearm discharged one time before fleeing the scene. Potential suspect and vehicle being detained by Newark PD. The officer has been transported to a local hospital and is currently being treated. The scene is secure and there is no threat to public safety. There currently is an active ongoing investigation and updates will follow.” ~ West Orange Police.

She immediately sought help from her co-travelers and shouted for help when she realized her attempts at rousing her son were unsuccessful. Today, the New Jersey Redistricting Commission announced their changes based on New Jersey's 2020 census which entitles the state to 12 seats in the House of Representatives. These changes will be in place through 2031.
