Colorado Couple Come Across a Bull Elk Standing in the Road. Man Asks it 'You Wanna Go, Bud?' & Elk Pops Tire
A couple going on a snowy Colorado drive up cautiously on a bull elk standing near the middle of the road. The man rolls down his window and says, "You wanna go, bud?" The bull elk isn't afraid of the truck and sticks a tine (a branch from its antlers) into the driver's side front tire and pops it effortlessly.

The elk are mating in Colorado, and it’s a sight to see
(Denver, CO) Elk mating season is in full swing. And there are lots of opportunities to see the elk rut throughout the Rocky Mountains. The elk rut lasts from late September to mid-October in Estes Park. Hundreds of elk will bugle, fight, court and mate.

Boulder County closes preserve three days a week for elk hunting

Elk & bison for supper at a restaurant from 1893
A saloon from 1893 and opened by Shorty Scout, this is the oldest restaurant in this state and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The menu comes on a gazette with pretty interesting dishes. We had fried alligator tail and fried artichoke hearts to share for appetizer. For the main course I had elk, bison and baked potato.

I caught this when I was driving down a dirt road in Loveland looking for a trailhead. A herd of elk were grazing across several ranches/farms. When this young elk started to play with these dogs. So cute.
