The 2020 US Presidential Election was a historic and tumultuous moment in US history and Fox News was at the center of it all. The conservative media empire, owned by Rupert Murdoch, was a major platform for the false narrative that the election was stolen from former President Donald J. Trump. In a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox by Dominion Voting Systems, Murdoch acknowledged that several hosts for his networks promoted the false narrative and could have been stopped, but weren’t.

AUSTIN, TX. - Texas recently introduced a new bill to increase the criminal penalty for election fraud in its legislation. The bill, H.B. No. 2192, was introduced by Murr and seeks to enhance the current punishment for individuals who engage in election fraud.

Trump faces four separate criminal investigations, but no former U.S. President has ever before been indicted of a crime. Donald Trump is used to controversy. In fact, he seems to revel in it. A pot-stirrer always with one goal in mind, to elevate himself and distort facts. He may very well be the most sued man in America, certainly he has had more lawsuits filed against him than any other U.S. president. According to the book, ”Plaintiff in Chief” he has been the target of at least 3,500 lawsuits.

As the bipartisan January 6th committee reveals more and more information, we obtain a better perspective of the mindset of the insurrectionists. Perhaps the most stunning revelation is that so many people were willing to engage in the destruction of property and violence without any evidence of wrongdoing.

Another blow to Trump's claims of election interference?. On December 8, General Michael Flynn appeared in a closed hearing of a Georgia Grand Jury investigating claims of election fraud in the state of Georgia.

As I sit here writing this, I wonder about the people who picked their loyalty to the 45th president over their loyalty to friends and family. How are they feeling in light of the lukewarm response to the announcement that another campaign has begun?

It shouldn’t be controversial to say that when a politician tries to overthrow the government, he or she is no longer entitled to the support of the people. Today, America is so divided that even treason is considered an issue of political debate.

The United States of America has a concept called freedom of speech. This means that, with few exceptions, every citizen can say whatever he or she wants. However, one of the exceptions is that there are laws against engaging in threatening speech.

Let’s put all the political rhetoric aside for a moment. Forget about parties. Forget about your ideological beliefs. Let’s try to break our thinking down to its essence and find some common ground.

The United States would be better served if people limited themselves to respectful comments. Unfortunately, that’s rarely the case. Too often in this country when you offer an opinion, you’re attacked with baseless insults.
