For this weeks review, we went back to Disney Springs and had an early dinner at The Edison. This restaurant is themed after an old abandoned power plant. The Edison is located where The Adventurers Club was located back in the days of Pleasure Island (Stephanie still misses that fun place!). Stephanie ordered a specialty drink and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Brian wanted to try out the short rib flatbread and The Edison Burger. We ate at one of the better restaurants on Disney property by simply walking in and sitting down. This is a post covid-19 menu so we were eager to try it out and celebrate! Check out the amazing food and experience while overlooking Bay Lake at the Grand Floridian Hotel , this is a great place to eat, drink and catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks! They will hold your seats and time the service with you in mind. It is extremely difficult to nab a reservation, but there is open seating. Don't forget to tell them you saw Cam on newsbreak and I sent you! Narcoossee's is not to be missed on your next trip. We may be returning this week to try some different items.

For this week's dining review, we went a little bit on the more economical side instead of pricey, but delicious, California Grill. Boatwright's Dining Hall is located at Walt Disney World's Port Orleans Resort. We had a great meal enjoying our drinks, the Mardis Gras Fritters and French Onion Soup as well as our entrees, the Nashville Hot Chicken and Salmon. We aren't normally fancy dining people, but every once in awhile, you have to go all out. Brian was searching through the Disney dining reservations one night and came across a reservation for the California Grill at the Contemporary. We knew we had to snag it while we could. Currently, Disney is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom and the California Grill has a 3 course tasting experience to celebrate. The meal is $89 per person and each person gets their choice of an appetizer, entree and dessert. You also get the AMAZING views the California Grill has to offer. Before 2021 ended, we had to do a few more reviews. We decided it had been a little bit since we went over to the Walt Disney World area so we looked for a reservation and found one for Boma- Flavors of Africa, located in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you have never been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is a must see! Neither of us had dined at Boma before and it was not a disappointment. We think it is one of Disney's best buffets. It had such a wide variety of items you have never had and it was an adventurous eaters heaven. We highly recommend snagging a reservation here. The dinner buffet runs $49 a person currently (as of January 4, 2022) which includes the buffet as well as fountain drinks.
