4 Day Itinerary: Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon
In July of 2021, my friend and I went on a 4 day vacation to Las Vegas with a little day trip to the Grand Canyon. It was such a lovely time despite the fact that she was technically working from home during the trip. However, we managed to create an amazing four day itinerary which included shows, activities, lots of walking about, and tours.
Driving into the Past: Resaca Battlefield
In this episode, Tommy and I take a brief detour through the Historic Resaca Battlefield in Resaca, Georgia, to learn how this battle, though some would later say was inconsequential, started the campaign for Sherman's Siege on Atlanta.
PrimeTravels - African American History Monument - Columbia, SC
We traveled to Columbia, South Carolina and had to tour the state capitol building and outside of the capitol, we found this incredible monument! What a very well done monument! We got to enjoy the beauty of it, as well as learn some history.
WE GOT A BUC-EES!!!! It's not a store... it's an experience! • Downtown Adairsville Train Museum
In this episode Tommy and I experience Buc-ees for the first time. It was AMAZING, if way over crowded. (I really wanted that Beaver Suit!!) The brisket, pulled pork and sausage on a stick were all worth braving the enormous crowds and we highly recommend making the trek to Calhoun, Ga and trying it out! After we left Buc-ees, we went to nearby downtown Adairsville and toured the train museum (they were about to close) before we sat in the beautiful town square pavilion and ate our lunch. We can't say enough good things about the museum and it's volunteer. We forgot to get her name but she was truly wonderful. The museum is FREE and totally worth checking out if you love railroad or civil war history! The Nation's Only Museum Dedicated to Caves: the American Cave Museum
Caves, Lakes, and Corvettes are three of the signature offerings in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. If you’re wanting to experience the region, there’s no better starting point than Hart County (home to the world-famous Hidden River Cave, Mammoth Onyx Cave, and one of the counties that Mammoth Cave runs through). While you’ll want to descend into the caves while there, the American Cave Museum is also to not be missed. Be sure to add it to your itinerary!
